MISSION

To help children from economically challenged classes gain access to equal opportunities in the field of education and enable them to be self reliant.

TRUST REGISTRATION

The Trust was registered on 17th August 2010. The total cost of which was around Rupees Ten Thousand. This expenditure was borne by the trustees.

The Donations to the Trust is now exempt under 80G of Income Tax Act.

 

PROFILE OF TRUSTEES

The foundation initially had five first trustees. Later on a few trustees could not devote their time to the foundation due to their personal reasons and consequently four new members were coopted at different points of time taking into consideration their commitment to the cause of the foundation by voluntarily contributing their time, effort and money.

The trustees are eminent citizens having come from different professions.They are retired bankers, government officials, housewives and working software proffesionals, all of who have a common passion of serving the society especially in the field of education.

Meera Mukund is the managing trustee of the foundation. She has been involved for more than 30 years in the field of Education, initially as a teacher and later on as the Principal of a reputed institute in Bangalore. She has firsthand knowledge of not only the academic field but also has realised the importance of education in moulding the career of children of this country. The fact that many children otherwise capable were unable to pursue their education beyond the Higher Secondary level only because of their financial constraints made her decide to pitch in financially to help such children through a small informal group of likeminded persons. She has also actively involved with a orphanage and an old age home in Bangalore.
